Lyane Pennell’s path has been one of transformation which is rooted in resilience, shaped by reflection, and guided by a deep belief in ethical, whole-person care.
Her career has bridged healthcare education, IT leadership, and wellness. As a former professor of pharmaceutical sciences and a graduate student in health and education, Lyane brings a thoughtful balance of science and spirit into everything she creates. But it was her time as a military spouse and hospice volunteer that awakened a deeper calling: to make healing more human, and to honor the emotional and spiritual dimensions of wellness alongside the physical.
Certified in Aromatherapy, Reiki, and Comfort Touch — and currently pursuing credentials in Ikigai, Positive Psychology, and Neuroscience — Lyane believes beauty and wellness aren't luxuries or surface treatments. They’re everyday rituals for grounding, self-trust, and wholeness.
In 2024, she made the difficult choice to leave her doctorate program and fully dedicate herself to HĪRĀ | A Center for Wellness. This is a space built on intention, sustainability, and soul. Here, care is personalized, spaces feel sacred, and healing is both evidence-informed and energetically attuned.
Located in a lovingly restored 1898 home in Russell, Ontario, HĪRĀ is more than a wellness space. It’s a retreat haven, offering immersive wellness experiences, romantasy and self-growth book retreats, and rituals that blend modern knowledge with ancient wisdom.
Lyane’s vision is to make this kind of care accessible, not exclusive. By offering services at fair, community-conscious prices, she’s creating a place where people can pause, reconnect, and transform. not just temporarily, but meaningfully.
